Edgartown and The Eisenhauer Gallery are excited to welcome President Obama and the United State’s First Family to Martha’s Vineyard, as they head over in August for a family vacation! This is the President’s fourth visit since  being sworn into office in 2009-2010; making the beautiful extension of Massachusetts one of the First Family’s favorite vacation destinations. The President is set to arrive on August 10 for a nine-day stay, along with First Lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters. Although the public is not yet aware of where the President will be staying, he has made his way through the entire island in years past, often visiting Oak Bluffs.

This trip marks the President’s first return to the island in two years, due to the presidential election taking place last summer. Regardless of anyone’s political background or beliefs, many islanders are looking forward to the First Family’s return. Local businesses like C’est La Vie and Sharky’s Cantina in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown are preparing for the President’s stay by creating unique, custom-designed t-shirts and offering great drink specials to honor their trip.

The Eisenhauer Gallery is especially excited for the President’s arrival and to commemorate his upcoming stay, we would like to highlight a number of fantastic paintings that are worthy enough for the White House!
