Amy grew up on Martha's Vineyard surrounded by the extraordinary landscape of ocean, farmlands and lush trees as well as a supportive community of artists which have had great influence on her.
She graduated in 2000 from the Art Institute of Philadelphia with an Associates degree in Fashion Design and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Jewelry and Metals in 2009 from UMASS Dartmouth.
Influenced by her father, a builder and mother, an avid gardener, working with her hands has always come naturally to Amy . She is attracted to the intimate experience of adornment, as jewelry is not just something we look at, it is something that is worn against the skin or in the ears. It absorbs warmth from the body and brings attention to areas of the body where it is worn. It is an expression of ones identity.
